Proven successful as a transformational business leader who improves profitability and impacts business process and performance across multiple industries, he brings immediate value and impact by leveraging his experience to help companies navigate growth and change. As Founder and President of Prosperia International, a business consulting firm, he is focusing on business and process improvement.

Schlusemann began his career as a machinist, setting up, operating and programming conventional and CNC machines that made parts for construction equipment, engines and trucks at Navistar, a global manufacturing company. He held positions of process, industrial  and systems engineer. After introducing computers to factory floor operations, Schlusemann achieved the executive position of chief information officer for Navistar’s engine business where he directed initiatives which led to expanded business operations to Brazil, Mexico, India and China. Schlusemann later helped Navistar relaunch foundries in Indiana and Wisconsin.

His career and life spans the gamut of representing members, living on the production floor, leading major company initiatives, improving business practices as well as guiding strategic issues facing organizations in today’s world. Schlusemann served on the SME Board of Directors in 2005, 2006 and 2011, and contributed to board work groups on strategy, branding and governance. He has also served as an advisor for the former SME Product Design & Automation and the Product Data Management & Exchange tech groups and led a team contributing to the fifth edition of “Fundamentals of Tool Design.”

Schlusemann holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and computer science, and a master’s degree in management information systems from North Central College in Illinois. SME Member Since 1989. He currently serves on the SME Member Council, and mentors small business owners through SCORE Fox Valley’s chapter.
